PARAGOULD, Ark. – The Crowley's Ridge Pioneers drop a three-game set to the visiting Eagles of (RV) Southwestern Christian University (Okla.) to drop their record to 2-7.

The closest game of the series was the opener, with both the Eagles (9-5) and the Pioneers (2-5) scoring a run in the first inning. Nate Finney continued his hot streak at the plate by opening the Pioneer half of the first with a single before a pair of passed balls allowed him to round third and score.
Dallan Stotts and his Eagle counterpart, Jose Perez, would settle down on the mound, sharing three scoreless innings each before a sacrifice bunt by the Eagles gave them the 2-1 lead. After a 3-run sixth by the guests, Luke Helm's leadoff double would eventually have him score to cut into the SCU lead. The damage; however, had been done as the Pioneers dropped the first game 5-2.
Despite recording the loss, Stotts ended his night with nine strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work.
GAME 2

While the first game of the series was down to the wire, the Eagles (10-5) ensured the second game of the afternoon was the complete opposite, scoring four runs on Crowley's Ridge (2-6) starter Corbett Seib before the Pioneers even came to bat.
SCU showed off their baserunning prowess, recording five stolen bases. The Pioneers had a rough day on the diamond: committing five errors.
Nate Finney, Bobby Wright, and Noah Overshine recorded the three Pioneer hits in the 15-0 loss.
GAME 3
SCU – 10
CRC – 0
After a night's rest, CRC (2-7) hoped to reverse their fortunes in the final game of the series. Peyton Maddox got the nod the start for the Pioneers, but the Eagles' (11-5) bats were wide awake, scoring in each inning played. Parker Henderson ended the afternoon with three of the Eagles' five stolen bases. Nate Finney extended his hitting streak to six games in the 10-0 loss.

Crowley's Ridge will go on their first road trip of the season, traveling to Conway, Ark. to meet up with the Central Baptist College Mustangs for a doubleheader on Tuesday (2/25) starting at 12pm.
