In today's doubleheader matchup, Pioneer Baseball (7-37 & 6-26 AMC) dropped both contests to No.21 Columbia College (39-7 & 31-5 AMC). 

Game 3

Crowley's Ridge- 1

Columbia College- 11

Columbia, MO- Columbia College claimed the opening contest with a gap of ten runs as the Cougars blasted their way through the contest, outhitting the Pioneers thirteen to seven and fanning thirteen Pioneer hitters in the seven innings of action. CRC scored their lone run in the top of the fourth, cutting the score to a 5-1 Cougar lead with the Pioneers lacing together their most impactful inning, scoring 1 run off 3 hits in the frame. Junior Kade Lindgren brought in the Pioneers' sole run, scoring pinch runner Trent Siemens off a fielder's choice for the first out of the inning. Offensively, sophomore Rilyn Coleman was the standout player, going 2 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base. Chance Arender took the loss, allowing 8 runs off 11 hits while walking 2 in 4.2 innings. 

Game 4

Crowley's Ridge- 0

Columbia College- 20

Columbia, MO- In the final contest of the series, the Cougars exploded offensively, producing their best performance of the matchup, scoring twenty runs with nineteen RBIs off seventeen hits against the Pioneers. CRC recorded six base hits in the contest, with Junior Parker Gordon pacing the team, going 2 for 3 with a double. Freshman Blake Brothers made his Pioneer debut, going 1 for 1 with a double in a pinch-hit at-bat. Senior Adonis Thomas took the loss, surrendering 14 runs off 13 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 1 over 2.2 innings. 

Up Next: CRC will return to Pioneer Park where they will take on Champion Christian College tomorrow, April 22nd, for the last non-conference matchup of the year. #GOPIONEERS
