Hooks, TX- After a winter snowstorm delayed the Pioneers' season debut, CRC managed to finally hit the field for the 2026 season on the road in the Lone Star State with a non-conference matchup against Texas A&M-Texarkana. The Pioneers opened the three-game series with a tough loss, being outgunned 16-3 by the Eagles' offense, who belted out 11 hits compared to the Pioneers' 5. Defensively, the Pioneers didn't do themselves any favors, allowing 6 mishaps in the contest, which only aided Texas A&M-Texarkana's cause. Senior 3rd baseman James Wilson led the offense in the loss, going 2-3 with 2 RBIs in the opener with an RBI double in the top of the first, and a solo shot in the fourth. Ricky Requena added a double at the top of the second with his 1-3 day at the plate. Hunter Hill took the loss for the Pioneers, surrendering 4 runs on 3 hits and walking 1.
