Game Three:

Crowley's Ridge- 5

Southeastern Baptist- 8

Pioneer Park - In the final matchup of the weekend home series against Southeastern Baptist College, the Chargers would pull out the win, thanks to a late-game string of four runs in the 7th-inning that gave SBC the space they needed to hold off the Pioneers. Offensively, the Pioneers led the contest, piecing together 11 hits and would even strike first with a run in the opening inning, but Southeastern answered with a three-run second to take control of the game. After tacking on another run in the third, Southeastern stayed quiet until their big push in the final frame. Crowley's Ridge showed grit, attempting to rally, scoring once in the sixth and adding three more runs in the seventh, but would ultimately fall short to the Chargers.

Reece Bariola finished his record-setting weekend off with a 3-3 with one RBI day at the plate, followed by Aiden Smith, who was 2-3 with a double in the final contest. Ricky Requena led the team in RBIs, driving in two with his single to right field in the 7th. Luke Kimble took the loss, allowing 3 runs off 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Kamron Isbell was first out of the pen for the Pioneers, tossing 4.2 innings, allowing 2 runs off 4 hits while strikingout 6, before Corben Lynch finished the game, recording the final 2 outs for the Pioneers.

Up Next: The Pioneers will travel to Blue Mountain, MS, to take on the Toppers on Tuesday, February 24th, in a non-conference doubleheader. #GOPIONEERS
