Pioneers Drop Series Finale to Mustangs- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 4/3/26

The Mustangs put together a third dominant offensive showing at Pioneer Park, defeating the Pioneers 18–5 in game three to complete the American Midwest Conference sweep.

Game Three: (7-innings)

Crowley's Ridge- 5

Central Baptist- 18

Paragould, AR- CBC stuck to the same plan of attack, jumping on the Pioneers early with four runs in the first inning and six more in the second to build a commanding 10–0 lead. Their bats stayed hot through the middle innings, highlighted by a five-run third inning that effectively put the game out of reach for CRC.

The visiting team held the Pioneers scoreless through the first four frames before Lawson DeVault broke the drought in the fifth, driving in Rilyn Coleman with an RBI double. Reece Bariola followed with a double of his own to plate two more, and Ricky Requena capped the inning by winning an eight-pitch at-bat and driving in a fourth run. Crafton Beeler added the final run for the Pioneers with a leadoff home run to dead center in the sixth. Despite the late push, CRC couldn't overcome the early deficit and would fall victim to the conference sweep. 

Up Next: Pioneer Baseball will hit the field in their final road games of the regular season with an AMC series showdown against Williams Baptist University in Walnut. Ridge, AR, on April 10th and 11th. #GOPIONEERS
