Pioneers Slow Start Leads to Loss

PARAGOULD, AR - Blue Mountain College scored the first ten points on the day and the Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College could not recover as they fell 92-79 at home.

Blue Mountain led 10-0 in the first three minutes of the game until a Fred Moore basket for CRC with 16:36 to play in the first half. Struggles for the Pioneers pushed the deficit to 22 points with 4:56 to play in the half with Blue Mountain leading 38-16.

CRC opened the second half with a more aggressive offense and trimmed into the lead. A Hunter Turner three point basket with 14:36 to play cut the lead to 11 at 55-44. Blue Mountain pushed the lead back to 22 at 75-53 with 8:56to play in the game. CRC would cut it back down to a 10 point lead by Blue Mountain after a Fred Moore free throw made it 89-79 with 1:18 to play.

Randy Stanley led all scorers on the day with 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Pioneers. Hunter Turner finished with 17 points. Freshman Braeden Williams came off the bench for CRC to score 17 points in the loss.

Dominic Hudson led Blue Mountain College with 15 points on the day.
