Pioneers Drop Season Opener in Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY- Despite five players in double figures, the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers could not pull out the win on the road Monday night. CRC fell to Brescia University 101-82.

Beau Gramling led the Pioneers scoring with 17 points. Caleb Barnes and Austin Pike each came off the bench to add 14 points. Randy Stanley scored 11 points and Braeden Williams added 10 points.

CRC trailed by as much as 21 in the first half before cutting the Bearcats lead to seven late in the half. Brescia took a 10 point lead into the half up 49-39.

Brescia opened the second half with 10-0 run and the Pioneers were able to cut it back to seven points with 6:00 to play. CRC could never get closer in the loss.

CRC hosts Culver- Stockton College in their home opener on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
