Pioneer Comeback Falls Short

PARAGOULD, AR - College of the Ozarks flexed their muscle and jumped out to a quick lead in the first half over Crowley's Ridge College on Tuesday night. The Bobcats took a 34-14 lead over CRC with 10:36 to play in the first half and looked to run away with the game.

CRC answered back after an 18-4 run that ended with a Kyle Moore three pointer to cut the Bobcat lead to six at 38-32 with 5:40 to play in the first half. College of Ozarks however finished the first half with a 14-6 run of their own and took a 52-38 lead into the half.
David Ballard finished a 17-8 Pioneer run on a basket with 12:31 to play in the game to cut the score to 60-55 in favor of the Bobcats. Austin Pike made a basket with 9:04 to play to bring CRC within three points at 67-64. Pike made another basket to put the Pioneers in striking distance down 71-68.
College of Ozarks finished the game on a 14-8 run over the last 4:37 to stretch out the lead and take away the 85-74 win over the Pioneers.
CRC shot 31 of 55 on the night for 56.4%, including a 16 of 25 shooting effort in the second half that helped them get back in the game. The Pioneers were seven of 16 from the three point line on the night.
Kyle Moore led CRC with 19 points and Randy Stanley added 17 points with seven rebounds. Austin Pike added 13 points for the Pioneers.
