PARAGOULD, AR - The Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers ran into a hot shooting Brescia University team in their season opener and lost 86-63. The Bearcats shot 15 of 35 from the three point line on the night in route to the 23 point win.
CRC was lead by Beau Gramling with 13 points in the first game of his junior season. Bo Roberson added 10 points in his first game as a Pioneer.
The Pioneers shot 22 of 61 from the floor for 36.1%, but only three for 13 from behind the three point line. The CRC Pioneers struggled at the charity stripe with a 16 of 30 free throw shooting effort.
Brescia added a 27 of 72 shooting campaign, including their 15 three pointers. The Bearcats also outrebounded the Pioneers 51-47 on the night.
Crowley's Ridge will next face John Brown University this Saturday, November 2 in Siloam Springs, AR at 7:00 PM.
