Pioneers Pull Out Home Win

PARAGOULD, Ark. - Crowley's Ridge College led by eight at the half 41-33, but the Bearcats of Rust (Miss.) College fought back to make it a close game before the Pioneers pulled out a 70-67 win.

CRC (2-6) shot 51.6% in the first half and led most of the first half and by as much as nine points. The Pioneers defense held Rust to 41.9% shooting in the first half, as the Bearcats only led by two points early in the game.

CRC opened the second half with back to back three pointers by twin brother Bo and Ke Roberson in the first minute of play to open up a 14 point lead at 47-33

Rust (0-2) got hot from behind the three point line in the second half and tied the game. With
3:42 left to play Jordan Jackson made a three pointer to tie the game at 65 apiece.

Two Bo Roberson baskets late and a free throw by K.J. Corder sealed the win late for CRC. Montrell James made the play at the end of the game on a block shot to finish the win.

Bo Roberson led CRC with 29 points and K.J. Corder added 11 points in the win.
