PARAGOULD, Ark - Crowley's Ridge College started the game cold shooting and could not catch up as they fell to Baptist Bible (Mo.) College 88-75 Tuesday night.
CRC (0-9) was 1 for 11 from the three-point line early in the first half and trailed by as much as 17 points in the first half. CRC shots started to fall late in the first half and the Pioneers trimmed the lead to 40-35 at the half.
BBC (4-2) held the lead throughout the second half and withstood a few Pioneer runs on the night to hold onto the lead and the win. The Patriots out-rebounded the Pioneers 42-27 on the night.
Freshman J.D. Smith led CRC with 25 points and eight assists on the night. Fellow Freshman Braxton Cousins added 21 points and Ke Roberson finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Alex Mero added 12 points of his own and seven assists in the loss.
