Pioneer basketball kicked off their weekend play in the Chick-fil-A Classic hosted in McKenzie, Tenn. by taking on Blue Mountain College earlier this evening. CRC would fall in their first matchup of

the Classic, being bested by the Toppers.

McKENZIE, TN - CRC trailed by three just before Blue Mountain scored five quick points right before the halftime buzzer to take a 40-32 lead at the break.

Blue Mountain opened the second half with a strong performance busting out on a 15-2 run and extending their halftime lead on the way to a 82-63 win over Crowley's Ridge in the Chick Fil A

Classic. Braxton Cousins led the Pioneers with 16 points in the loss.

Crowley's Ridge College looks to bounce back tomorrow against hosting team Bethel University at 4:00pm.
