PIONEERS DROP OPENER IN "THE SHOW" - Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 11-26-22

CRC Men's Basketball hit the road to compete in "The Show" Classic hosted in Kingsport, Tenn. over the weekend. The Pioneers, looking for the spark to snap the losing streak, would come up short after a late 2nd half rally by the team in green would not be enough to drive past the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City University.

KINGSPORT, TN - Crowley's Ridge College took an early lead before Oakland City made six  three pointers to take a 38-30 lead at the half. Braxton Cousins led the Pioneers in the first half in scoring with 8 points.

In the Second half, Oakland City took an 18 point lead with 16:37 to play in the game. CRC stormed back to cut it to three points, with the help from a 17 point half from Bo Roberson and a 15 point half from Cousins. The Mighty Oaks would keep out of reach and finish the matchup with a 10 point win over the Pioneers, 78-88.

Braxton Cousins led the Pioneers with 23 points and Bo Roberson scored 17 on the day. J.D. Smith added 16 points on four three pointers.
