PIONEERS CAN'T CATCH MUSTANGS

PARAGOULD, AR - Central Baptist College stayed just ahead of Crowley's Ridge College all night in route to a 80-68 win. The Pioneers cut into the lead several times in the second half, but could never make a big run at the Mustangs, who never trailed.
Lamont Jackson led the Pioneers with 14 points on the night. Braxton Cousins contributed a double double for CRC with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Timquorian Johnson also scored 13 points and Zak Brown added 11 points in the CRC effort.
Crowley's Ridge falls to 15-10 overall on the season and 9-6 in American Midwest Conference play. Central Baptist improves to 21-4 overall and 14-1 in AMC play.
