PIONEERS DROP FIRST GAME OF CLASSIC

OAKLAND CITY, IN - Crowley's Ridge College lost its first game of the Dunn Hospitality Group Classic 90-67 to Indiana University East.

Indiana East took a 39-32 halftime lead and stretched it to a 23-point win.  IUE benefited from a 14-0  run early in the second half. Caleb Wade made a three-pointer to stop the run with 13:17 to play.

Freshman Kyzer Phillips led CRC with 23 points and 8 rebounds, including four for nine three pointers.  Caleb Wade added 10 points in the afternoon.

IUE outscored CRC 22-7 on points off turnovers. The Pioneers had 14 turnovers for the game.
