EAGLES WIN SHOOTOUT OVER PIONEERS
PARAGOULD, AR - Williams Baptist University overcame a one-point Crowley's Ridge College halftime lead to take a 106-94 shootout win. WBU shot 54% from the floor on the night, including 11 of 21 from three-point land for the win. CRC shot 45% from the floor, including 11 of 25 from the three-point line.
Cole Nichols led the Pioneers with 20 points and six rebounds on the night. Caleb Wade added 15 points, and Hayden Robinson scored 12 points with five rebounds. Ethan Bell rounded out the CRC double-digit scorers with 11 points in the loss.
CRC led by as much as seven points in the first half after two Cole Nichols free throws with 6:33 until halftime. The Pioneers took a 47-46 lead into the half. The Eagles took their first lead on their first basket of the second half, a three-pointer by Deion Wesson. WBU took their largest lead at 14 points with under a minute to play in the game.
