Batesville, Ark.- Pioneer Golf teed off in the second Invitational of the season earlier today at Lyon College located in Batesville, Ark. After one full round of 18 holes the Pioneers currently sit in 7th overall as a team with (319) strokes.
Senior team captain Isaac Langley took his standard position at the front of the pack as he shot 4 above par ending the day in a 7-way tie for 18th overall with a score of (76) through 18 holes. Sophomore Bradie Gunther switched places with Sweet as he claimed the second overall position for the Pioneers with a stoke effort of (79) landing him in a 6-way tie for 30th overall. Creston Sweet, co-captain of the Pioneers, rallied in the crew's third spot as he ended day one in a 4-way tie for 38th overall by sitting at (81) swings through his first 18. Walker Hibbs and Matt Crabtree stayed in the same positions as the season-opening invitational last week in Kennett, MO as Hibbs claimed the 4th finish for CRC with (83) swings and tied for 42nd overall. At the same time, Crabtree completed the day tied for 50th overall with his (91) swings.
Maddie Minyard crossed the finish line first for the two Lady Pioneers with a score of (119) in the 31st overall position while Shelby Razer wrapped up her day in the 34th overall with a score of (130).
