Nelson Leads Pioneers in CBC Spring Invitational- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 3/17/25

Cabot, Ark.- Pioneer Golf's terrific trio of Walker Hibbs, Reece Kieffner, and Hogan Nelson concluded Central Baptist's Spring Invitational with a final 18 holes this afternoon. After today's scorecards were submitted, no changes were made in the trio's placement with Hogan Nelson pacing the team. 

Hogan Nelson, who sat at +19 entering today's round, split the difference between his first two scores, finishing the invitational with a +10 third round. Nelson paced the team with a +29 finish, to claim 36th individually. Senior Walker Hibbs followed Nelson's example and split his day one finishes, improving round three by losing 6 strokes to cap the tournament with a +14 round. In three rounds, Hibbs finished +47, taking the 47th overall placement. Freshman Reece Kieffner wrangled in third for the team with Kieffner delivering consistent numbers each round. In his final trip, Kieffner improved his scorecard by dropping one stroke to round off his time at CBC's invitational with his best finish of +20. Kieffner totaled +62 to land 56th overall.
