Pioneer XC Opens Season "Walking in Memphis"- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 9/3/25
Memphis, TN- Pioneer XC, under the helm of 1st year Head Coach Phoenix Beal, made the short trip across the mighty Mississippi River to compete in the City Twilight Auto XC Classic for their season opener this past saturday in Memphis, TN, hosted by Christian Brothers University. Four men and one sole Lady Pioneer took to the course to represent CRC.
For the fellas, senior runner Arthur Johnson paced the Pioneers in the 4-mile race. Johnson led the team with a time of 26.14.41. Taking second for CRC would be sophomore Mark Eagleman, with the Kansas native finishing with a time of 27.46.90. Crossing third for the Pioneers is new runner, Owenn Marino, who survived the thirty-minute line with a finish line time of 29.33.10. Bringing up the rear for the team was senior Nate Ferguson with a time of 42.01.50. In the Ladies' division, sophomore Aimee Buckley was the lone runner for the Pioneers, and she would post a 25.21.47 5-K.
