OKMULGEE, Okla. – Crowley's Ridge College dropped the final two games of their four-game set to the Bacone (Okla.) College Warriors on Saturday, first losing by a lone run 2-1. The weekend proved unfruitful for the CRC win column after the Lady 'Neers lost game two by one run once more, this time 4-3.

GAME ONE

Crowley's Ridge – 1

Bacone – 2

Crowley's Ridge (10-31, 1-10 CAC) leaned once more on Shelby Elrod (6-15) as the junior Kentuckian recorded her 126th inning of work, a CRC single-season record. Elrod struck out five while not walking a single Warrior (16-10, 7-1 CAC).

The Lady Pioneers tied the game in the fifth inning, but a walk-off from Bacone handed Crowley's Ridge the loss.

Elrod and April Kennedy both tallied two hits for the Lady Pioneers.

GAME TWO

Crowley's Ridge – 3

Bacone – 4

For the second time, the Lady Pioneers (10-32, 1-11 CAC) fell victim to the walk-off in Oklahoma. Crowley's Ridge scored all three of their runs in the top of the third, while Bacone (17-01, 8-1 CAC) bookended their day with two in the first and two in the seventh.

Crowley's Ridge was led by Layne Tedder's 3-for-four day at the plate, while Brooklyn Melson, Maddie Reed, and Rachel Russell collected two hits.

Shelby Elrod (6-16) came on in relief of starter Halea Wells. Wells tossed four innings of work, while Elrod pitched three.
