Game One:

Crowley's Ridge- 20

Rust College- 0

Holly Springs, Mississippi- The Lady Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College continued their terror on the diamond as they traveled to Rust College for a doubleheader matchup yesterday afternoon against the Bearcats. The Lady Pioneers left no doubt in the contest as they manufactured 20 runs on 11 hits collecting a season-high 19 RBIs, and drew 11 bases on balls from the Rust pitching staff on their way to a shutout win in the 5-inning run-rule contest. Kennett, MO native Hannah Burk, and Falkville, AL native Brooklyn Melson each knocked in 4 RBIs in the contest. Bailey Cupples, another Kennett, MO native did her part by bringing home 3 RBIs and lastly, Elizabeth Crosby, a Cherry Valley Native took responsibility for the last multi-RBI spot in game one as she knocked in 2 Lady Pioneers with a single to right field.

Game Two:

Crowley's Ridge- 22

Rust College- 1

Holly Springs, Mississippi- CRC kept the same game plan as they continued to apply pressure on the accelerator, easing the way to a second consecutive run-rule victory. The Pioneers also used the same pitching strategy as the bullpen got a spread workload dividing the 5 innings up to four different Pioneer pitchers. There were some subtle differences in game two with the Bearcats mustering one run on a team effort of 4 hits, but the CRC offensive wave proved too much again as the Pioneers surfed their way to a 22-1 win. CRC's 22 runs came off 12 hits and a new season-high record of 21 RBIs. Crowley's Ridge matched their game-one effort with 11 more bases on balls. Six Lady Pioneers ended with a multi-RBI game with Palestine, Ark native Autum Maxwell standing alone in the 4 RBI spotlight. Hannah Burk and Purcell, OK native Dru Bryant each batted in 3 RBIs. Lastly, Melbourne, Ark native Natalie Brightwell, Marmaduke, Ark. native, Angel Johnson, and Wauchula, Fla native Jocelyn Villarreal all collected 2 RBIs in the game. Abby Ewing, the Cotter, Ark. Native chucked the last two innings where she ended the contest striking out the side.
