Pioneer Softball (15-19 & 6-8 AMC) blew past the Lady Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University (1-33 & 0-18 AMC) with two massive wins in today's doubleheader American Midwest Conference matchup.
Game 1 (5 innings)

St. Louis, MO- In the opening contest, the Lady Pioneers scored a season high 19 runs off 12 hits, including 12 RBIs in the blowout win over the Hornets. The Lady Pioneers posted crooked numbers in four straight innings, capping the game with a game-high 8 runs in the top of the fourth. Senior Grace Parker and junior Lilly Wessel led the offense with Parker going 1 for 1 with a double and 3 RBIs and Wessel going 2 for 3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Seniors Kourtni Jagneaux and Bailey Cupples followed with two hit and 2 RBI performances. Lastly, junior Karsen Overshine was the final Pioneer with two hits in the game, going 2 for 3 with a double and RBI. Halea Wells earned her fourth win of the year, allowing 1 run (0 earned) off 4 hits while walking 1 and striking out 2 in 5.0 innings.

St. Louis, MO- Game two's end resulted in the same fashion as the opener, with the Pioneers blasting their way to victory; this time scoring 15 runs off 15 hits with another dozen RBIs as a team. Junior Lilly Wessel again was a top player for the Pioneers, posting a consecutive game of 2 from 3 from the box with 3 RBIs. Senior Kylie Cox joined Wessel, as the Texan went 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Seniors Kourtni Jagneaux and Jocelyn Villarreal, along wth freshman Jordan Janak, each added two hit RBI efforts in the win. Aimee Buckley picked up her second win of the year, matching Wells' stat line from game 1 by allowing 1 run (0 earned) off 4 hits, but upped the strikeouts by fanning 10 Hornets in her 5 innings from the circle.
