Softball Concludes Series in Bartlesville- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 2/13/26

Bartlesville, OK- The Pioneers fell just ever so short in game three of the four-game series, seeing the Eagles take the contest 2-1, despite the Pioneers out-hitting OKWU six to five. The Eagles broke the silence on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth, scoring their two runs before sophomore Olivia Lanham answered with the Pioneers' sole run the following frame. In the top of the sixth, Lanham scored sophomore Jordan Janak, who led off the inning with a double, with a sacrifice fly down the left field line. Maddie Burris led the offense with a 2-4 effort. Aimee Buckley took the loss, tossing all 6.0 innings, allowing 2 runs off 5 hits while walking 4 in the loss.

Oklahoma Wesleyan- 10
Bartlesville, OK- The Eagles picked up the pace in the final contest, reverting back to their original attack plans of games one and two, picking up a series sweep over the Pioneers via a third run-rule victory. OKWU rallied off 12 hits in the game, scoring 10 runs while limiting the Pioneers to just two base knocks with their stout pitching performance. Though held to just two hits, the Pioneers forced the Eagles to play perfect defense, with the team only suffering 3 strikeouts in the contest. Maddie Burris and Aimee Buckley were the two Pioneers to record a hit in the contest. Lauren Jones took the loss, surrendering 8 runs (6 earned) off 8 hits while also walking two in 1.1 innings of action.
