BMC Sweeps Pioneers in Non-Conference Doubleheader- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 2/26/26

Game One: (5-innings)

Crowley's Ridge- 2

Blue Mountain Christian- 11 

Pioneer Park- The undefeated Toppers of BMC kept their streak alive, sweeping the Pioneers in both contests this afternoon. In the opener, the Toppers limited the Pioneers to three base knocks on which they pushed their two runs across, while on the flip side, rallying off eleven hits themselves, and on which they scored eleven runs. The Toppers secured an early lead with a 4-run top in the first and would ensure the win with a second 4-run inning in the fourth. Maddie Burris would bring in the Pioneers' sole RBI with a single in the third frame. Jada Diaz and Hailey Tarrants would be the other two Pioneers to record a hit in the match. Aimee Buckley took the loss from the circle for the Pioneers. 

Game Two: (5-innings)

Crowley's Ridge- 1

Blue Mountain Christian- 9

Pioneer Park- The Pioneers improved their offensive scheme in game two, totaling 5 hits in the contest, but would again struggle to string timely swings together and get runners to the plate, dropping the contest 9-1. Senior Lilly Wessel brought in the Pioneers' sole run, scoring junior Jada Diaz with her hot shot up the middle in the bottom of the first. Jada Diaz led the offense with a 2-3 effort, scoring one run, and Faith Muntz added the team's only extra base hit with a double for her 1-2 afternoon. Lauren Jones suffered the loss for the Pioneers in the circle. 

Up Next: The Pioneers will run this back tomorrow at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM with another non-conference doubleheader, this one against Tennessee Southern. #GOPIONEERS
