No. 23 Eagles Take Two From Pioneers- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 3/17/26

Game One:

Crowley's Ridge- 0

No.23 Texas A&M Texarkana- 5

Texarkana, TX- After a hot start in the opening inning from the Eagles, the Pioneers' defense rallied around starting pitcher Aimee Buckley to slow the No. 23 Lady Eagles' offense, but woefully would still face defeat with Texas A&M Texarkana holding the Pioneers scoreless in the contest. Buckley, who allowed two runs to reach the plate off 1 hit in the opening ining kicked it into overdrive, allowing just 3 more runs off four hits to reach the plate over the next 5 frames. Still, Buckley would take the loss as the Eagles' pitching staff permitted just three Pioneer hits. Jada Diaz, Jordan Janak, and Hailey Tarrants each singled in the opening matchup to total the Pioneers' offense.

Game Two: 5-innings

Crowley's Ridge- 1

No. 23 Texas A&M Texarkana- 11

Texarkana, TX- Things would end in five frames in contest number two, as the Eagles' offense soared to life to score 11 runs off 7 hits, including driving in 9 RBI and taking full advantage of 8 Pioneer walks.  CRC's offense outshone the Eagles, collecting 8 hits in the game, but would fall short with the team stranding 9 runners on base in the contest. Freshman Carrie Anna Davis led the offense, going 2-2. Jada Diaz drove in the Pioneers' sole run of the game with her RBI single in the fourth inning to score Jordan Janak.

Up Next: The Pioneers will return to Pioneer Park, opening up conference play with doubleheaders this weekend against Columbia College and Cottey College.
