Game One: (5-innings)

Springfield, MO- Pioneer Softball fell in both American Midwest Conference matchups this afternoon, with the Lady Patriots taking the opening contest via run-rule with a final score of 14-4. In the opener, all of the Pioneer runs were scored off longballs with Junior Hailey Tarrants launching two, a two-run shot in the second and a solo shot in the fourth, and senior Lilly Wessel connecting with her 4th homer on the year with a solo shot on the 5th. Despite the powerful longball performance from the Pioneers, 16 Mission hits would outlast the CRC bombardment and lift the hosting team on top. CRC produced 6 hits in the contest. Tarrants led the team, going 2-3 with 2 HR's and 3 RBI. Lauren Jones followed, going 2-2 with two singles.
Game Two: (7-innings)

Mission University- 8
Springfield, MO- CRC rallied in the second contest by almost doubling their team hit total, but would again despairingly fall to the Lady Patriots, 8-4. Junior Jada Diaz got the offense started with an RBI triple in the top of the third, which was followed by sophomore Maddie Burris' RBI groundout a batter later in response to the Patriots' 3-0 lead. Diaz scooted to home a second time in the top of the fifth to tie the contest three all, but Mission would reclaim the lead with five runs over their next two offensive opportunities to break away from the Pioneers. CRC's final run of the day was in the top of the seventh with Hailey Tarrants blasting her third homer of the day with a solo shot to left field. Tarrants led the offense, going 3-4 with her longball and RBI. Diaz followed, going 2-4 with a double, triple, and RBI. Jordan Janak was also 2-4 with a double in the road loss.
