Lady Mustangs Down Lady Pioneers
PARAGOULD, AR - The Lady Mustangs of Central Baptist College shot a commanding 52.5% from the field in their 94-56 victory at Crowley's Ridge College on Monday night.
Central Baptist opened the game on a 13-0 run and slowly grew that lead as the minutes ticked by.
Crowley's Ridge scrapped their way to trail by just eight points at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was a different story. The Mustangs scored 31 points in the second and held the Pioneers to just 10 points.
The 54-25 halftime deficit proved to be too daunting for the Lady Pioneers to overcome.
Alexis Augustus led Central Baptist in scoring with 19 points while three other Mustangs scored in double-digits.
Alexus Taylor led the Pioneers in scoring with 16 points. Elly Burrell etched nine points and Kylie DeVries and Adrianne Chambers came off the bench to add eight and seven points respectively.
Crowley's Ridge will take a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and be back in action on Tuesday, November 27 at 5:00 PM at Welch College.
