Lady Pioneers Fall to Nebraska Christian
PARAGOULD, AR - The Lady Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College could not put a full game together in their home loss to Nebraska Christian College, 86-67.
Crowley's Ridge struggled in the first half shooting a mere 27% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. Nebraska Christian outscored CRC 40-26 points in the paint on the afternoon.
The Lady Pioneer offense looked much better in the second half as they shot 48% from the field and a season-high 50% (5/10) from three-point range. However, it was just not enough to close the gap with NCC.
Nebraska Christian had four players that scored double-figures. Jazmyne Santiel led all scores with 32 points. Camry Porter notched a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kayla Bloodworth was a force around the rim with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and eight blocks, while Alexis Frondarina added 10 points.
Crowley's Ridge had three Lady Pioneers with double-digit points. Hannah Mauldin led the team with 16 points and three steals, while Elly Burrell etched 15 points, and Nakeeva Brandon added 12 points and seven rebounds. Bug Johnson ended the game with a season-high eight assists.
