Lady Pioneers Fall in Final Home Game

PARAGOULD, AR - The Lady Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College faced off against the Lincoln College Lynx last night in their last home game of the 2018-2019 season. CRC hung around with the Lynx (15-12) through the first three quarters, but got outscored 25-11 in the fourth to fall 66-44.

Crowley's Ridge held Lincoln to 25% (3-12) from the three-point line in the first three quarters of play. They found themselves down by just eight points going into the final 10 minutes. However, the Lynx went on an 8-0 run late in the quarter to extend their lead as they edged the Pioneers on the offensive glass.

Kaleia Monteiro led Lincoln College with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

On her senior night, Elly Burrell led Crowley's Ridge with a double-double of her own of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow senior Tessa Johnson etched a career-high six rebounds and added two points and three assists. Freshman Kaprise Anuu contributed eight points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Lady Pioneers will finish their season this Saturday at Nebraska Christian College.
