PARAGOULD, Ark. – Haskell Indian Nations (Kan.) University debutant Miracle Spotted Bear scored 27 points in her first game in purple and gold - including going 7-15 from 3-point land to hand the Crowley's Ridge College Lady Pioneers their first conference loss 74-55.

Crowley's Ridge (6-9, 1-1 CAC) got off to a slow start, earning eight points in the first quarter, led by Lotti Hoffman's 3-pointer and pair of free throws. Meanwhile, the Fightin' Indians (7-8, 4-0 CAC) went 4-8 from deep in the quarter to take a 16-8 lead after the opening 10 minutes.

The Lady 'Neers doubled their quarter total into the second quarter thanks in part to Shmyira Brown and N'Kyah Edwards' four-point segments. HINU kept the pace going by scoring another 16 in the quarter to hold onto a 32-24 lead at the intermission.

Travia Woodruff bucketed six of her seven points in the third quarter, as CRC's 23 points closed the deficit to 10 points moving to the fourth quarter 55-45.

Starting the game with eight dressed players, one player fouling out, and one player out with injury left the Fightin' Indians with one player left on the bench for the final 3:13 of play, but the first half lead proved too much for the Lady Pioneers to overcome. The buzzer sounded in favor of the guests 74-55.

Hoffman was the lone girl in green in double digits with 10 points, with Jamerria Johnson pulling down a season-high 15 boards.
