Hoffman and Rowton team up to complete season sweep of The W

COLUMBUS, Miss. – After besting the Mississippi University for Women Owls in November 82-53, Crowley's Ridge College swiped away 14 steals in a 65-50 victory Tuesday night.
The Lady Pioneers (9-10, 2-2 CAC) were off to a slow start with the hosting Owls jumping ahead 18-12.
The ship was righted in the second quarter, with the girls in green rattling off 24 points to MUW's (1-12) nine. The second frame saw the Lady Pioneers boast a 10-18 mark from the field to take a 36-27 lead into the break.
The W made things interesting in the fourth quarter by putting up 16 points seven of which were from the free-throw line, but the Lady 'Neers continued to shoot well to escape Mississippi with a 65-50 victory.
Lotti Hoffman and Lizzy Rowton shared the team top mark with 13 points each. Jamerria Johnson continues to have a strong second half of the season, pulling down her third double-digit rebounding performance in five games with 15 boards.

The Lady Pioneers will continue southbound to compete in another Continental Athletic Conference Classic hosted by Florida College. CRC will first battle Florida National on Friday, January 28 at 5:00 p.m. CST. They will then return to action on Saturday, January 29 against the Wilberforce (Ohio) Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. CST. Both games will be held at Conn Gymnasium in Temple Terrace, Florida.
