SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After losing at home to the Lady Patriots of Baptist Bible (Mo.) College earlier in the season, Crowley's Ridge returned the favor by stealing an 80-66 victory on Tuesday night.
CRC (12-13, 4-5 CAC) fell behind early, but an old-fashioned 3-point play from Jamerria Johnson gave the Lady 'Neers the edge in the first quarter.
Baptist Bible (7-15) stayed in the game with solid 3-point shooting in addition to out-rebounding the Lady Pioneers 19-14 in the first half, but it was Crowley's Ridge's 50% half from the floor that gave them a 42-31 lead at intermission.
Crowley's Ridge would swipe away 18 steals, forcing 31 total Patriot turnovers, converting those to 35 points off of the turnover. The girls in green triumphed by the final buzzer, picking up the 80-66 victory.
Five Lady 'Neers ended their nights in double figures, led by Lizzy Rowton's 16-point night, followed by N'Kyah Edwards' season-high of 14. Lindsey Browning tallied 13 points while Jamerria Johnson collected 12. Travia Woodruff finished the night with 11 points for CRC.
