Women's Basketball headed to Little Rock, Ark. to take conference opponent Arkansas Baptist yesterday, January, 17th. The Lady Pioneers, although 9-6 on the season, were still in search of their first conference win as they fell to Iowa Wesleyan earlier this month in the CAC Classic in Espanola, New Mexico.
Little Rock, Ark.- Hunter Gibson set the tone as she went 3 for 4 from behind the ark in the first quarter. The Pioneers would produce their biggest run of the night in this quarter with a 7-0 run. Pioneers lead, 19-12. Crowley's Ridge would control the game by leading by as much as 10 at the 8:56 mark in the 2nd but would find a rough patch only producing a ten-point quarter and allowing the Buffalos to cut the score to one. CRC entered the break up one over the Buffalos, 29-28. The Pioneers were able to still hold the lead and increase the gap in quarter three by outsourcing Arkansas Baptist by a bucket. Reigiana Ward helped the Pioneers by hitting a three-ball while Hunter Gibson hit her 5th three of the contest. Pioneers entered the last quarter up 43-40. After being able to hold off Arkansas Baptist for three quarters the Pioneers' lead fell late in the fourth. Meanwhile, the Buffalos created their biggest gap of the night with a 6-point lead at the 4:38 mark. Octavia Lowery would come alive as she went 3 for 5 from behind the arc this quarter but the Pioneers would be able to recover as the Buffalos outscored the Pioneers 20-13 in the final quarter. Pioneers fall to 0-2 in conference play. Final Score, CRC 56, Ark, Baptist 60.

Hunter Gibson led the Pioneers in the loss with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Octavia Lowery ended with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Sierrah Floyd grabbed 10 rebounds.
