Conway, Ark.- The Lady Pioneer increased their overall record to (4-2) this weekend as they claimed their second victory over the Lady Mustangs of Central Baptist College this season. CRC defeated the Mustangs back on November, 9th in the Carter Activities Center with a final score of 84-71. In their first victory, the Pioneers leaned on the three-ball as they made 11 shots from behind the arc that gave them the separation to claim the matchup. Today's contest mirrored much of the first go-round as the Pioneers lit it up from behind the arc, beating their first game effort by 4 shots, making 15 three-balls in the contest. Travia Woodruff shared the wealth as she led the team in assists with 8. Reigiana Ward and Hunter Gibson switched places as Gibson dethroned Ward in the points category with Gibson producing a team-high 16 points in the win. Ward followed suit with 15 points and also added a team-high 6 rebounds. Another key performance difference in the second matchup was the Pioneer bench. Crowley's Ridge's reserves mustered 40 points in today's contest with freshmen Ansley Dawson and Jordan Rasmussen reaching double digits. Dawson posted 14 points thanks to her marksmanship from deep as the young Pioneer shot 4-5 from three. Rasmussen added 10 points to the tally and sank two three-balls in the 90-79 win.
