Pensacola, FL- The Lady Pioneers shot 48.3% from the floor this afternoon as they picked up their second win of the season with today's victory over Toccoa Falls College. Today's win is credited to the full squad as the entire Lady Pioneers team earned minutes in the double-digit point win over the Screaming Eagles. Mirrored from yesterday's season opener, the Pioneers used the second quarter to make their move, create space in the score, and build up their lead going into the break. In the second 10-minute period, the Lady Pioneer's defense stood stout, holding TFC to just 7 points while junior Pioneer Joi Montgomery got hot from the floor as the Marion, Ark. native bucketed 12 of the team's 19 points in the quarter. Montgomery's push helped project CRC's lead to 41-19 going into the break. After the break, CRC left little doubt as the Lady Pioneers scored 25 points in the third quarter, their highest-scoring effort of the contest, with sophomore Brooklyn Kearbey leading the charge with 11 points. Freshman Sara McCain finished off the fourth by leading the team with 7 points in the final quarter.
For the second consecutive contest, Joi Montgomery has been the team's top fragger and once again posted a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds in 21 minutes of floor time.
