Columbia, MO- The Stars of Stephens College handed the Lady Pioneers their third loss in the AMC as they claimed the win over CRC with a 12-point deficit. The separation awarded to the Stars came in the second quarter where the Pioneers were outscored 13-23, forcing the Pioneers to enter the half trailing 42-31. A bucket by senior Travia Woodruff clawed the Pioneers back to even the score at 50-50 at the 4:00 mark in the third, but with the Stars retaliating with three back to back 3's, the Pioneers wouldn't be able to overcome Stephens, going winless for the week.

"We fought hard all game long. Stephens is a good team, they had some help return from injury and their shooters made big shots today. I'm proud of our girls, we've got a lot of ball left to play."- H.C. Chris Richardson

Sophomores Ansley Dawson and Jordan Rasmussen led the team offensively with Dawson bucketing 20 points and Rasmussen following with 18 points. Joi Montgomery got back on the double-double train with her 11 points and team-high 11 rebounds.
