The Lady Pioneers, 2-13 in the AMC, battled fiercely against top American Midwest Conference opponent, the 14-1 Lady Eagles of Williams Baptist University tonight in the Carter Activities Center. In the contest, the Pioneers would cut the gap to as little as three in the late stages of the third quarter before ultimately falling short to the Eagles.

Paragould, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers fought fervently in tonight's conference matchup, rallying their best offensive effort over the last six contests, scoring 73 points, shooting 45.3% from the floor and 30.% from the three-point line. The Pioneers battled back from the Eagles' lead, chipping away at a 10-point gap at the break to bring the contest within one possession in the late stages of the third quarter with a jumper from Brooklyn Kearbey at the 1:30 mark that made the score 55-52 in favor of the Eagles. CRC would enter the fourth down two possessions and keep the contest within reach for the opening minutes, but agonizingly, the Eagles would stop the bleeding and go on to claim the contest with a 13-point spread. The Pioneer offense mustered double-digit points in all four quarters, including outscoring the Eagles in two of those quarters. Kiyuana Foster stole the spotlight as the senior led the Pioneers on both ends, bucketing a career-best 24 points and leading the team in rebounds with 7. Two other lady Pioneers crossed over into the double-digit territory, with sophomores Ansley Dawson scoring 18 and Brooklyn Kearbey finishing the evening with 16.
