Paragould, AR- The Comets of Cottey College claimed the afternoon's American Midwest Conference matchup, besting the Pioneers 79-43 in the Carter Activities Center. Junior forward Kyrsten Bake led the Pioneers on all fronts, snatching up 21 boards, collecting 4 blocks, and bucketing 16 points. The Comets pulled away in the contest with an offensive surge in the second quarter, where the Comets built off a 2-point lead to enter the break ahead, 38-18, en route to their 36-point win.
