Harris-Stowe– 61
Paragould, AR- The Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University spoiled CRC's senior night by defeating the Pioneers 61-41 in the 3:30 PM matchup. The Pioneers mustered several rallies in the contest, including bringing the score to just a 9-point deficit on two occasions late in the contest. Still, the Hornets' pressure would force Pioneer turnovers and allow them to maintain their grip on the lead. The Pioneers were led by sophomore Mallory Welch, who netted 18 points in the loss. In the rebound category, Junior Kyrsten Bake led the team with 13 boards, while adding 8 points for the Pioneers.
Senior Makalya Herndon was honored before the opening tip of tonight's matchup. Herndon will graduate this May, and we wish her the best of luck in this next chapter of life!
Up Next: The Pioneers will hit the road for their final two contests of the season, taking on Hannibal-LaGrange this Thursday, February 19th, in Hannibal, MO. #GOPIONEERS
