Batesville, Ark. Pioneer Golf played their final 18 holes in their second Fall Invitational of the season hosted by Lyon College this afternoon. With a team combined score of 639 strokes, CRC closed out the tournament in the same placement as yesterday, 7th overall. Isaac Langley led the men's team by dropping one stroke on day two. Langley shot three over par (75) ending the tournament with 151 strokes, (+7) over par, and 16th overall in the Invitational. Bradie Gunther added one swing to his score on day two that pushed him into the "80's'" by posting a score of (80) flat today. That gives Gunther a total of 159 stokes (+15) over par and in 35th overall. Creston Sweet never caught Gunther although he closed the gap to one swing. Sweet finished third for the Pioneers with his score of (79), three better than yesterday, for a total of 160 strokes (+16) over par and in 38th overall. Walker Hibbs had the highest stroke addition on day two as the Walnut Ridge, Ark. native added three swings to his game. Hibbs ended 42nd overall with 169 swings (+25) over par with his (86) day two performance. Matt Crabtree lowered his score by three strokes on day two by shooting an (89). Crabtree totaled 10 more swings than Hibbs at 179 (+35) over par and in 47th overall. Maddie Minyard closed out her second Invitational in dramatic fashion. Minyard rallied and shaved off a career-high 22 stokes from her day one effort ending the invitational with 216 swings and in 30th overall. Shelby Razer also improved her game by dropping two strokes on the day. Razer wrapped up the tournament with 258 stokes and in 32nd overall. 

 

Pioneers' next Invitational will be in Springfield, MO at the Evangel Fall Invitational on October, 16th.
