LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Lady Pioneer Volleyball team put in work over the Labor Day weekend! The squad posted a 3-1 record at the Philander-Smith Tournament on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1!

Crowley's Ridge got off to a slow start on Friday afternoon as they suffered a close loss to Jarvis Christian 1-3 (20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25), but they did not let the set back stop them. The Lady Pioneers went on to win the next three matches in a row!

Later that evening, CRC defeated Texas College 3-1 (26-24, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21). Ashton Jordan led the team with 12 kills on a 0.242 hitting percentage. Bailey Tosh had an impressive setting game, completing 27 assists with only two errors. Kaitlyn Perkins set the tone on defense with 13 digs and added four service aces.

The Pioneers started Saturday morning with another victory, this time against Paul Quinn College 3-0 (27-25, 25-16, 25-20). This marked the first win against Williams Baptist in program history! Ashley Pyeatt took charge at the net and led the team with 13 kills on an impressive 0.367 hitting percentage. Kaitlyn Perkins continued to do her job on defense with 21 digs. The Pioneers tallied seven service aces and nine blocks as a team.
