Hesse named CAC Setter of the Week

Commendable performances by a junior and a pair of freshmen have been honored with this week's Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week awards.
Florida College junior Emma Noskey was named the Attacker of the Week while Crowley's Ridge College freshman Jadyn Hesse is the Setter of the Week and Cottey (Mo.) College freshman Staley Stallaby earned the Defender of the Week honor.
Noskey tallied 34 kills as the Falcons went 2-1 for the week. The Seffner, Florida, native had 19 kills in a 3-1 victory against CAC opponent Florida National University last Saturday. The outside hitter had a .375 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win against Trinity Baptist (Fla.) College in the second match of the day. She also had 11 kills in a match against Webber International (Fla.) University.
For the week, Noskey averaged 3.78 kills per set and was successful on 34.7 percent of her hits.
Hesse had 49 assists over two matches and average nearly six assists per set last week. The setter from Weiner, Arkansas, had 34 assists to help the Pioneers defeat Central Baptist (Ark.) College in a five-set match. She added 15 assists in a 3-1 win against Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) University.
Finally, Stallaby had double-double performances across five matches for the Comets. The Fort Worth, Texas, native had 17 digs and 11 assists in a 3-0 win against Ozark Christian (Mo.) College last Tuesday. She also recorded 14 assists and had 10 digs in a 3-1 loss to the University of St. Francis (Ill.) last Saturday.
For the week, Stallaby collected 54 digs and averaged 3.18 digs per set.
