Florida College duo, Crowley's Ridge defender garner CAC Volleyball Player of the Week Awards

PARAGOULD, Ark. – Florida College juniors Krista Trimble and Emilie Selvidge joined Crowley's Ridge College senior Kaitlyn Perkins in earning the Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors.

The trio are past award winners for the 2021 season.

Trimble, the Attacker of the Week, recorded 20 kills and hit .131 across two matches last week. The Plant City, Florida, native had eight kills in a 3-0 victory against Johnson (Fla.) University last Friday. The next day the outside hitter added 12 kills in 38 attempts during a 3-1 setback at Warner (Fla.) University. Trimble also recorded 26 digs and averaged 3.71 digs per set in that match.

Selvidge, the Setter of the Week, tallied 34 assists in last Saturday's four-set loss at Warner. The Riverview, Florida, native averaged 7.29 assists per set and tallied 51 assists across the two performances last week. The junior collected 17 assists in Florida College's win against Johnson.

Perkins, the Defender of the Week, had 24 digs in the Pioneers' victory against Williams Baptist (Ark.) University. The Willow Springs, Missouri, native also recorded two service aces in the 3-0 triumph on September 21. The libero averaged eight digs per set for the week.
