Central Baptist- 3

Conway, Ark.- The Pioneers traveled to Conway, Arkansas to take on the Lady Mustangs of Central Baptist College in their last road game of the 2023 season. The Pioneers faced off against the Mustangs back on August 29th in the Carter Activities Center, where the Pioneers defeated CBC in a 5-set thriller but tonight's matchup ended a bit differently for the Pioneers as the Mustangs stampeded past CRC with a 4-set victory. Central Baptist claimed the opening set of play with a score of 25-19. This six-point gap would be the biggest margin the Mustangs bested CRC with during the contest as the Pioneers put on their game face and forced CBC to fight hard for the win in the last three sets. In set two, the Pioneer quickly turned the tide back in their favor as they made the tally even 1-1  with a 7-point set win, 25-18 over the host team. Sets three and four would be decided by a small margin of 5 measly points. Unfortunately for the Pioneers, CBC found themselves on the winning side both times as they slipped past Crowley's Ridge 25-22 and then once more 25-23 to win the matchup.

CRC had two players reach the double-double mark with Hannah Halverson leading the team in kills with (13) and recording (13) digs. Jillian Glasgow took credit for the second double-double as the freshmen dished out (15) helpers and added (12) digs. Jadyn Hesse led the team in overall assists with (28), Kinley Matlock led in overall digs with (23), and Emi Elms added (11) more kills to her career total at the contest's end. Finally, Senior Heather Conaway added (2) service aces and (10) digs for the Pioneers in the 4-set loss.
