PARAGOULD, Ark. – Despite dropping the opening set, Crowley's Ridge answered in the final three sets to defeat visiting LeMoyne-Owen (Tenn.) College 3-1 (20-25, 25-15, 25-12, 25-18) to break a three-match losing skid. The Lady 'Neers recorded a season-high 14 total blocks.

The Lady Pioneers (7-12, 1-4 CAC) battled throughout the opening set, highlighted by three consecutive kills by sophomore Emi Elms. LeMoyne-Owen (4-18, 3-12 SIAC) earned nine out of the last 13 points to win the opening set 25-20.

CRC answered in the second set by quickly establishing a 12-5 lead thanks to two separate 5-0 runs to open the set. The Lady Pioneers would blast a match-high 13 kills in the second set to knot the match up 1-1 with a 25-15 set victory.

With Jadyn Hesse at the service line, Crowley's Ridge jumped ahead to a 4-0 lead in the third set. The Lady Magicians closed the gap to trail 4-7 before Olivia Deckelman set up camp behind the service line, rattling off eight unanswered points. That stretch vaulted the Lady Pioneers to a 25-12 victory to pull ahead in the match two sets to one.

Knowing they needed to win the fourth set to stay alive, LOC started off well, jumping ahead 3-1. Another Deckelman-led rotation flipped the scoreboard to see Crowley's Ridge lead 10-5. The Magicians continued to battle, eventually tying the set at 11-11. After a back and forth set, Brooklynn Passmore put an end to the match with a kill to seal the 25-18 set win.

Four different Lady 'Neers set personal bests in the match: Elms pounded a career-high 17 kills, while Hannah Halverson stuffed a career-best five solo blocks and six total blocks. Jadyn Hesse helped out with her season's best assist total of 40. Paige Glenn's three solo blocks and four total blocks were season highs, while also tying her kill high with seven.
