Pioneer Volleyball Sweeps in St. Louis- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 9/26/25
Pioneer Volleyball picked up two American Midwest Conference wins today in St. Louis, defeating UHSP and HSSU with three-set sweeps to remain undefeated in AMC action and improving to 4-0. The Pioneers now sit (5-12) on the season.
Game 1

Sets: 25-15 CRC, 25-16 CRC, and 25-17 CRC
St. Louis, MO- The Pioneers improved to 3-0 in the AMC by snapping a four-game losing streak, as they defeated the Eutectics of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in game one of the afternoon with a three-set, dominating performance. The Pioneers set the tone of the matchup immediately, picking up the opening set with a ten-point spread, 25-15, before claiming the next two sets with the same dominating performance, with 25-16 and 25-17 set victories over the hosting Eutectics.
The Pioneers manufactured three consecutive double-digit kill sets, totaling 35 kills on a .261 hitting percentage as a team in the speedy contest. CRC bashed out a game-high 14 kills in the first frame, 10 in the second, and 11 in the final. Brooklyn Cross and Jillian Glasgow led the offense with 8 kills. Kyrsten Bake and Mallory Hollis led the team in digs with 8. Glasgow and Maddie Burris led the team in assists with the duo tag-teaming the job, dishing out 25 set-ups (Glasgow 13 & Burris 12) in the win. Defensively, besides the 44 total team digs collected, the Pioneers' front row collected 10 total blocks against the Eutectics attackers, doing their part in the conference win.

St. Louis, MO- Crowley's Ridge continued their dominant performance on the court by following up their 2:00 PM sweep over UHSP with yet another AMC sweep, this time over the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University in their second matchup of the day. CRC kicked off game two by grabbing the first set with their biggest spread of the day, 11 points (25-14), before delivering the same fate to HSSU as they delivered to UHSP's Eutectics. The Pioneers would go on and claim the next two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-22 to cap the 6-0 set sweep for the day in conference action.
Amiyah Saxton and Brooklyn Cross led the team with 8 kills, Alyssa Dirden led in digs with 13, followed by Mallory Hollis with 11. Jillian Glasgow led the team in assists with 16, followed by Maddie Burris with 11. Saxton led the team in blocks with 6 in the win.
