Pioneer Volleyball improved to 13-3 in the American Midwest Conference and 16-19 overall with tonight's sweep win over the Eagles of Williams Baptist University.
Walnut Ridge, AR- The Pioneers earned win number sixteen with their eleventh sweep victory on the year, besting the Eagles for the second time this season. The Pioneers blasted their way to back-to-back 11-point wins in the first two frames, 25-14, before finishing off the Eagles in set three by a six-point gap of 25-19. CRC's offense outshone the Eagles, producing 42 kills on a .322 hitting percentage while limiting WBU to just 17 kills and holding the hosting team to a .000 hitting percentage. Brooklyn Cross led the attack with the junior middle blocker tallying 11 kills for the evening. Junior Jillian Glasgow dished out 21 assists, and Alyssa Dirden led in digs with the Scott City, MO native finishing with 11. Sophomore setter/utility player Maddie Burris reached double-double status with the Walnut Ridge High School graduate ending the contest with 14 assists and 10 digs.
