Volleyball Postseason Run Ends with Loss to Stars in AMC Semifinals- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 11/14/25

Chesterfield, MO- The 2025 Pioneer Volleyball season came to a heartbreaking close this evening as the Stars of Stephens College outshone the Pioneers in the AMC semifinal matchup, defeating the Pioneers in four sets with scores of 13-25 SC, 25-21 CRC, 18-25 SC, and 25-27 SC. Though defeated, Volleyball concludes its historic season on a high note, reaching as far as the program has ever done before in the American Midwest Conference, matching the program's wins record since joining NAIA (18-25 in 2018), and earning two major end-of-year awards from the conference for the first time in school history (Brotman/Holcomb Coach of the Year & Amiyah Saxton Newcomer of the Year).

In the Pioneers' final matchup, junior OH/MB Amiyah Saxton would pace the offense with 13 kills on a .385 hitting percentage and was followed closely by junior MB Brooklyn Cross, who pelted 11 kills on a .250 hitting percentage. Junior Jillian Glasgow and sophomore Maddie Burris shared the team's assists count, with Glasgow totaling 17 and Burris 15. Defensively, sophomore Alyssa Dirden led the team with 14 digs.

The Pioneers wrap the season with an overall record of 18-21 under 2nd-year Head Coach Brotman, and graduate no seniors. Big things are happening on the Ridge. Until next season, #GOPIONEERS
