All Treats No Tricks Pioneers Sweep Trojans- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 10/31/25
Pioneer Volleyball improved to 14-17 overall on the year and 11-2 in the American Midwest Conference, sweeping Hannibal-LaGrange University tonight in the Carter Activities Center.
Paragould, Ark.- Pioneer Volleyball made short work of AMC opponent HLGU tonight, taking the contest with consecutive set wins of 25-9, 25-20, and 25-15. The Pioneers broke away in each set after massive, unstoppable runs from the Pioneer offense created separation from the Trojans, putting each set out of reach. In the opening set, Kyrsten Bake would lead the Pioneers on a 12-1 run from behind the service line, assisting the Pioneers to a breezy set win of 25-9. In set two, HLGU mustered 12 kills against the Pioneers, but fortunately, CRC again would go on a terror, this time with Georgia Spinks leading the charge of a 10-0 run to help the Pioneers once again drift away and claim the set. In the final set, sophomore Maddie Burris would kickstart the third and final drive for the Pioneers with the Walnut Ridge, AR native heading 10-1 run on the Trojans to lead CRC to the three-set victory.
Kyrsten Bake led the offense with 10 kills. Maddie Burris and Jillian Glasgow each dished out 11 assists in the sweep. And Alyssa Dirden led the team in digs with the Missourian, totaling 13.
